The working principle of a concentrated solar collector is the sunlight that afflicts the concentrator will be concentrated towards the absorber pipe so that the heat will be forwarded to the fluid to be heated. To obtain continuous heat that can be done by using heat storage. One of the heat storage medium is a fine black sand beaches. So that the heat reflected by the concentrator will be absorbed first by the receiver pipe in which there are sand and absorber pipes. By organizing the absorber pipe, the heat absorbed by the receiver pipe will be forwarded to the sand and then absorbed by the absorber pipe to improve the heat absorption can be done by increasing the number of absorber pipes. Conducted a test to determine performasi concentrated solar collectors with variations in the number of spiral-shaped absorber pipes. In this study the independent variables studied or tested was the effect of the amount of the absorber pipe spiral which vary in number, namely 2, 3 and 4. From the test results shown that the higher the number of the absorber pipe as well as the useful energy produced by the solar collector efficiency increases. Overall the amount of testing variation seen that the solar collector pipes with pipe number 4 is the solar collector with the best performasi both in terms of useful energy produced amounted to 80.72 J / s and efficiencies generated by 0.1060.
