ANALYSIS INTERSECTION (CASE STUDY: THE HIGHWAY ASTASURA VI - ANTASURA ROAD - ROAD JAYA SAKTI PEGUYANGAN KANGIN DENPASAR)

Volume Denpasar City traffic levels have increased resulting increase in the number of vehicle ownership. Congestion at the intersection Peguyangan Kangin Denpasar is one of the effects of traffic growth is quite high and the non-functioning traffic system as well. Having regard to the geometrical condition road, the volume of traffic, obstacles aside and neighborhood intersection which is the commercial areas, it was attempted to solve the problems with the analysis of signalized intersection method is to do a survey in the field to obtain primary data and secondary data which will then be processed using intersection analysis. Planning referring Indonesian Highway Capacity Manual (MKJI) 1997 and Excel 2003 program to process traffic data. Traffic data obtained from counting the number of vehicles on fieldwork conducted for one day (24 hours) at rush hour and presented in tabular form vehicle data. In the calculations used later form SIG-1 SIG- 2, SIG- 3, SIG- 4 to SIG- 5 as a guide in analyzing the performance of the intersection. (1) From the analysis it found that the performance of signalized intersections included in the service level F (2) Based on this study can be concluded that resetting the traffic lights at the intersection Peguyangan Kangin Denpasar can not be done unless the simpamg Peguyangan Kangin Denpasar is amended be the intersection is not a plot like Flyover or one-way street, because at the crossroads Peguyangan Kangin Denpasar also need to be applied Transpart Demand Management (TDM) which fixes a transportation system not only focused on adding infrastructure (supply management) but can be anticipated by controlling demand (traffic flow).
