ANALYSIS OF CHANGES OF USE OF DRINKING WATER BEFORE AND AFTER KARNING THE TARUF PDAM (CASE STUDY: PDAM GIRI MENANG KOTA MATARAM)

The use of water resources is regulated in Article 33 paragraph 3 of the 1945 Constitution of 1945 which reads as follows; Earth, water and natural resources contained therein are controlled by the State and used for the greatest prosperity of the people. In other words the use and distribution of water is regulated by the State through Perusahaan Daerah Air Minum (PDAM). The need for drinking water is an unlimited and sustainable need. While the need for provision and service of drinking water from time to time increases, which is sometimes not matched by the ability of service. The purpose of this analysis is to know the average water use before and after the PDAM tariff increase. Also to know the average water usage per person per day. The method used is to analyze the water usage data in Mataram District obtained from PDAM Giri Menang Kota Mataram, and tabulates the data of drinking water consumption every year from the existing data. Based on the above data it can be seen that there is a tariff increase in a row in 2011, 2012 and 2013. Data used are data from 2009 to 2015, which tend to decrease drinking water usage. This is due to the occurrence of urban municipalities, so that the increasing of settlement development which is accompanied by the increasing of population in Mataram City. Average drinking water usage of 2C household group in Mataram sub district in 2009 was 212,95 liter / day. The average drinking water usage in 2010 is 210.07 liters / day. The average drinking water usage in 2011 was 190.84 liters / day. Average drinking water usage in 2012 is 157,25 liter / day. The average drinking water usage in 2013 is 157.84 liters / day. The average use of drinking water in 2014 amounted to 153.24 liters / day. The average drinking water usage in 2015 is 163,89 liters / day. It can be concluded that tariff increase does not affect drinking water consumption in Mataram City.
