Denpasar, 6 June 2026 – The university’s commitment to providing a real impact on society was once again demonstrated by Udayana University students. Through the Community Development Division (Comdev) of the Salemba Empat Karya Scholarship Association (KSE) at Udayana University, the 2026 KSE Unud Eco Enzyme Intelligence Action activity was successfully held at the Lumintang City Park Amphitheater, Denpasar, as a form of student contribution in supporting environmental preservation and sustainable waste management.
Carrying the spirit of Zero Waste, this activity aims to increase public awareness regarding the importance of managing organic waste through the manufacture and use of Eco Enzyme. This program is a form of implementation of the Impact Campus concept, where students not only gain knowledge in the academic space, but also present solutions that are beneficial to society and the environment.

The activity was officially opened by I Nyoman Parta, S.H. who was present as the keynote speaker. Furthermore, participants received education through a talk show with the theme of making and using Eco Enzymes which presented Ketut Udi Prayudi, S.E., S.H., M.H. and Gede Adrian Maha Putra as resource person. The activity then closed with the action of pouring 50 liters of Eco Enzyme into the Lumintang River, guided by Adrian Karim Januar, Executive Chair of the Karya Salemba Empat Foundation.
Chairman of the Committee, I Kadek Mahardika, explained that Eco Enzyme is a liquid resulting from the fermentation of organic waste such as fruit and vegetable peels which has various benefits, ranging from natural cleaning, liquid organic fertilizer, to supporting environmental preservation.
“The Eco Enzyme that we are pouring today is a real contribution in efforts to improve water quality and the environment, in line with the spirit of zero waste which we will continue to promote,” he said.
Meanwhile, Head of the Udayana University KSE Community Development Division, Putu Kevin Narendra Harry Putra, emphasized that this activity does not only focus on imparting knowledge, but also encourages changes in community behavior in managing organic waste more wisely and sustainably.
“Through today’s Eco Enzyme Intelligence Action activity, I feel proud because we are all in the same ranks as sons and daughters of the nation who are aware that the earth must remain sustainable. We hope that more environmental care movements will be initiated and realized by the younger generation and society in an inclusive manner as a real catalyst for preserving nature and the environment,” he said.
Through this activity, Udayana University students show that the role of the campus is not only as a center for education and research, but also as an agent of change capable of providing solutions to various social and environmental problems. Education to the community accompanied by real action is proof that the spirit of Impact Campus continues to grow and is realized through student contributions in creating a cleaner, healthier and more sustainable environment.
In the future, the Udayana University KSE Association is committed to continuing to present various community service programs that are innovative, educational, and provide real benefits for the wider community and environmental sustainability.
