Jakarta – Chancellor of Udayana University (Unud), Prof. Ir. I Ketut Sudarsana, S.T., Ph.D., attended the Forum for Strengthening the Ecosystem Integrity of State Universities (PIEPTN) which took place at the Aryaduta Menteng Hotel, Jakarta, Thursday (20/8/2026).

The presence of the Unud Chancellor in this forum is part of Udayana University’s commitment to continue to strengthen higher education governance that is clean, transparent, accountable and has integrity. The 2026 PIEPTN Forum is a common space for higher education leaders to reflect on program developments, strengthen alignment of policy direction, and perfect strategies and instruments for strengthening integrity in the higher education environment.

The forum was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Ibnu Basuki Widodo, Secretary General of the Corruption Eradication Commission Cahya Hardianto Harefa along with other Corruption Eradication Committee officials, Chair of the Indonesian Chancellors Forum, Chair of the Council of Chancellors of Indonesian State Universities (MRPTNI), chancellors and representatives of university leaders, as well as representatives of the Human Resources Development Agency of the Ministry of Transportation.

PIEPTN is a joint initiative of leaders of State Universities (PTN), State Religious Universities (PTKN), and academic associations supported by the Corruption Eradication Commission. Since it was launched in 2022, this program is designed to encourage improvements in higher education governance from within, based on institutional awareness and commitment in building a higher education ecosystem with integrity.

In this forum, higher education leaders took turns explaining good practices and implementation of the PIEPTN program for the 2023–2025 period which had been developed at their respective institutions.

On that occasion, the Chancellor of Unud conveyed the steps that Udayana University had taken in building a culture of integrity and anti-corruption. One of them is through the integration of education and anti-corruption values into Compulsory Curriculum Subjects (MKWK).

According to the Chancellor, strengthening integrity needs to be built continuously through the education process so that the values of honesty, responsibility and anti-corruption are not only understood as provisions, but become part of the character of the academic community.

Apart from education, Udayana University is also active in building an anti-corruption culture through implementing Integrity Zones towards Corruption Free Areas (WBK) in various work units. This strengthening is part of efforts to build institutional governance that is increasingly transparent and accountable.
One of the units that has carried out this strengthening is the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at Udayana University.

It is hoped that the implementation of the Integrity Zone can continue to be expanded and become good practice for other work units in building a professional work environment and integrity.

Udayana University’s steps are in line with the spirit of PIEPTN which encourages universities to strengthen from within. The PIEPTN program is not only oriented towards administrative fulfillment, but is also a means of evaluating and improving governance on an ongoing basis. PIEPTN even emphasized the importance of synergy with the Integrity Zone and Bureaucratic Reform programs to strengthen the culture of integrity in the higher education environment.

Through participation in the 2026 PIEPTN Forum, Udayana University strengthens its commitment to making integrity an important part of the implementation of higher education and institutional governance. Strengthening anti-corruption values through the curriculum, implementation of the Integrity Zone, and involvement of the entire academic community are concrete steps for Unud in building a university that is not only academically superior, but also trusted by the public because of its clean governance and integrity.

The 2026 PIEPTN Forum is expected to strengthen collaboration between universities and stakeholders in creating good risk mitigation practices and strengthening anti-corruption tools in higher education environments.
