Badung โ Udayana University (Unud) has once again strengthened its contribution in preparing quality human resources through the 177th Graduation Ceremony which was held at the Giri Nata Mandala Cultural Hall, PUSPEM Badung, Saturday (22/8/2026).
A total of 1,302 graduates from various levels of education were officially released to continue their service and work in society.

Deputy Chancellor for Academic Affairs at Udayana University, Prof. Ir. I Nengah Sujaya, M.Agr.Sc., Ph.D., in his report said that the 1,302 graduates consisted of graduates of Diploma, Professional, Applied Bachelor/Bachelor, Specialist, Master and Doctoral programs. With this addition, Unud now has 138,255 alumni since its inception.
Of this number, 888 graduates received the title of Cum Laude. This achievement reflects the academic quality of graduates produced by Unud from various scientific fields.

Chancellor of Udayana University, Prof. Ir. I Ketut Sudarsana, S.T., Ph.D., emphasized that the success of graduates does not stop at obtaining an academic degree. Graduation marks the start of new challenges as well as momentum for graduates to implement the knowledge they have gained responsibly and with quality for the progress of society, nation and state.
“Graduation and the degree you have achieved is not the end of everything, but is the beginning of a new challenge in life,” the Chancellor said to the graduates.
This message emphasizes the role of alumni as an important part of the sustainability of Unud’s educational impact. Graduates are expected to not only bring academic competence to the world of work, but also be able to implement knowledge to provide real benefits in society.

The impact of education is also reflected in the diversity of scientific fields of graduates. At the 177th Graduation Ceremony, graduates came from 14 faculties and Postgraduate Programs, with the largest number coming from the Faculty of Economics and Business with 305 people and the Faculty of Medicine with 258 people.
Unud’s commitment to improving the quality of education is also continued through tracer studies. Graduates are encouraged to participate in tracer studies as a source of feedback for the development of education systems, facilities, learning processes, and services within the university environment.
For Unud, the presence of alumni is part of the cycle of improving the quality of education. Alumni experience and input can be the basis for evaluation so that the educational process provided is more relevant to the needs of society and the world of work.

Thus, the 177th Graduation Ceremony is not only a momentum for releasing graduates, but also becomes part of Unud’s contribution in expanding the impact of higher education. This spirit is in line with SDG 4 (Quality Education), especially in efforts to ensure quality education and provide sustainable benefits for society.
The Chancellor also invited the graduates to continue to maintain the good name of their alma mater, develop themselves and contribute through their respective professions. Alumni are expected to participate in the development of Unud through the Udayana University Alumni Association (IKAYANA) and involvement in tracer studies.
The 1,302 graduates released today are part of Unud’s long journey in producing educated people. Equipped with the knowledge, competencies and academic experience they have gained, graduates are expected to be able to have a positive impact on the work environment and society while bringing the values โโof Udayana University to a wider community of service.
