Unud Once Again Receives the Public Information Transparency Award as an Informative Public Institution

Jakarta – The Central Information Commission of the Republic of Indonesia (KI Pusat) held the Public Information Transparency Award and the Launching of the 2025 Public Information Transparency Index (IKIP) at the Birawa Assembly Hall, Hotel Bidakara, Jakarta, on December 15, 2025. Universitas Udayana was named one of the recipients of the Public Information Transparency Award in the Informative category. The award was received by the Rector’s Expert Staff for Public Communication, Prof. I Putu Gede Adiatmika, representing the Rector of Universitas Udayana.

In her report, Nunik Purwanti, Secretary of the Central Information Commission, stated that the IKIP and Monitoring and Evaluation (Monev) are among the priority programs of KI Pusat and have been implemented since February 2025. On November 18, 2025, the Chair of KI Pusat together with Meso-level Ministries/Agencies signed a Joint Agreement as custodians of Bureaucratic Reform targets. This is a source of pride, as the implementation of the Public Information Disclosure Law (KIP) has the opportunity to contribute to national bureaucratic reform and to become one of the Meso-level Ministries/Agencies for the fifth target—namely, the realization of quality and inclusive public services to support quality digital governance toward human-based governance.

Commissioner for Strategy and Research of KI Pusat, Rospita Vici Paulyn, stated that this event marked the conclusion of the monitoring and evaluation of public bodies and the end of the journey in compiling the 2025 IKIP. Public information disclosure has become a necessity in various aspects of life, especially following the enactment of Law Number 14 of 2008 on Public Information Disclosure. Awareness of the importance of fulfilling public information needs encourages the government and public bodies to undertake various breakthroughs to provide quality and relevant information. The implementation of this monitoring and evaluation is a manifestation of Law Number 14 of 2008, wherein the Information Commission, as an independent institution, stands at the forefront in realizing good, clean, and efficient governance. In this year’s Monev, there was a significant increase in the number of participating public bodies—from 363 in 2024 to 387 in 2025. The 2025 Monev results recorded 197 Informative Public Bodies, 21 Towards Informative, 14 Fairly Informative, 34 Less Informative, and 121 Not Informative. Meanwhile, the National IKIP score stood at 66.43 (Moderate).

In his remarks, Donny Yoesgiantoro, Chair of KI Pusat, emphasized that information disclosure must deliver tangible benefits; if it is viewed merely as an obligation, it will become a burden. However, if public information disclosure is treated as a meaningful necessity, it can be implemented effectively and yield positive results. Looking ahead, challenges related to information will continue to increase, making it important to pay attention to the structure of Information and Documentation Management Officers (PPID). If the PPID is strong and supported by leadership, public information disclosure will not be difficult.

The awards were presented by the Commissioners of KI Pusat to the leaders or representatives of public bodies that achieved the designation of Informative Public Institution, with the hope of even better performance in the years to come.
