Increase Understanding of the World of Stock Investment and Capital Markets, KSE Foundation Together with PT. UBS Sekuritas Indonesia Held "Financial Literacy"

Udayana University hosted the Financial Literacy activities organized by the Karya Salemba Empat Foundation (KSE) together with PT. UBS Sekuritas Indonesia is located at the Jimbaran Campus Library Building, Friday (27/05/2022). This Financial Literacy activity was held to increase knowledge about the world of stock investment and the capital market.

Vice Rector for Student Affairs at Udayana University Prof. Ngakan Putu Gede Suardana on this occasion expressed his appreciation for the implementation of "Financial Literacy" in order to add insight into the world of stock investment and capital markets for Udayana University students. The collaboration with the Karya Salemba Empat Foundation (KSE) is expected not only through the provision of scholarships, but all Udayana University partners are expected to help students who are less fortunate, but have good academic abilities to continue their studies. In the Student Ranking Management Information System (SIMKATMAWA) it is expected that at least 1 percent of scholarships other than scholarships from the government can be received by students from all college students.

In the 2021/2022 academic year, KSE has provided scholarships to 1677 students from 35 universities in Indonesia from more than 26,000 applicants. In addition to providing scholarships, KSE together with donors also provide coaching programs, entrepreneur programs, Technology for Indonesia programs, and community empowerment programs. In this Financial Literacy activity, PT. UBS Sekuritas not only provides education related to stock and capital market investments, but also provides an overview of the world of work related to stock and capital market investments. This was conveyed by the Executive Secretary of the KSE Foundation, Kennyarso Soejatman.

Meanwhile, the Managing Director and Country Head of PT. UBS Sekuritas Indonesia Joshua Tanja and Branch Manager of PT BNI Sekuritas Denpasar Branch Ni Nyoman Citasri, S.E., M.E, expressed their gratitude for organizing this activity and hoped that it would provide additional insight into the investment world for Udayana University students. The development of the capital market from year to year continues to increase in terms of customers, even during a pandemic. It was recorded that in 2021 the growth of customers increased greatly, which was dominated by students (Generation Z). In this case, BNI Sekuritas feels that students or young people are very potential investors, and it is hoped that together we can improve the capital market, so that our capital market is more advanced.

There were 2 speakers at this activity, namely Muhammad Lutfi Permana as Investment Specialist at BNI Sekuritas with the material "Introduction to the Indonesian Capital Market" and Joshua Tanja as Managing Director and Country Head of PT UBSSI with the material "Career in the Capital Market" and "Investment Games".
