Dissemination of Vision, Mission and Work Program for Candidates for Rector of Unud for the Period of 2021-2025

Udayana University held a Socialization for the Submission of the Vision and Mission for Candidates for the 2021-2025 Unud Rector which took place on line through Webex meetings and offline from the Hall of Postgraduate Building, Sudirman Campus, Denpasar, Wednesday (21/4/2021).

This activity is one of the stages of organizing the rector election to socialize the vision and mission of the Rector candidates to the Udayana University academic community.

Chairman of the Rector Election Committee for 2021-2025 Prof. Dr. Ir. I Gede Mahardika, MS said, referring to Permenristek Dikti No. 19 of 2017 and Permenristek Dikti No. 21 of 2018 and Udayana University Senate Regulation No. 1 of 2021, the process of selecting Candidates for Rector is divided into three stages, namely the implementation stage starting from selection, screening, and election. The selection stage begins with the registration of Candidates for Rector on February 8 to February 24, 2021. The requirements for Candidates for Rector are Civil Servants as a lecturer with the lowest academic position as Head Lector, at most 60 years old, doctoral education, physically and mentally healthy, not have ever committed plagiarism, submitted a state official's wealth report to the KPK or LHKASN.

Rector Candidates who have met the registration requirements are determined by the Senate of Udayana University on March 17, 2021. From this stage five candidates for the Rector Candidates of Udayana University have been determined as well as the serial numbers, namely (1) Dr. dr. Bagus Komang Satriyasa, M. Repro from the Faculty of Medicine, (2) Prof. Dr. drh. I Nyoman Suarsana, M.Si from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, (3) Dr. I Wayan Budiasa, SP., MP from the Faculty of Agriculture, (4) Prof. Dr. Ir. I Nyoman Gde Antara, M.Eng from the Faculty of Engineering, and (5) Prof. Dr. dr. I Ketut Suyasa, Sp.B., Sp.OT (K) from the Faculty of Medicine.

Chairman of the Senate of Unud Prof. Dr. Ir. Dewa Ngurah Suprapta, M.Sc. In his speech, he conveyed that the Socialization of the Vision, Mission and Work Program of the Candidates for Rector was a good opportunity for Prospective Rectorto convey creative and innovative ideas to be able to develop Udayana University faster and be known both at the national and international levels , besides that, it can also increase the role and meaning of Udayana University's existence for the welfare of the people of the country and the nation. Udayana University of course already has various programs that are poured into the Udayana Strategic Plan and also the 2020/2040 long-term academic development plan which of course has been outlined in the form of a Chancellor's regulation and with the consideration of the Senate, of course it will be a reference or reference for Prospective Rector to compile their work program forward.

On this occasion, the socialization of the Delivery of the Vision and Mission of the Candidates for the Rector of Udayana University was guided by the moderator Prof. Dr. Drh. Nyoman Sadra Dhamawan, MS. The dissemination material presented by the Rector Candidates includes strategies and excellent work programs in the Tri Dharma of Higher Education and governance to accelerate the achievement of the Unud Vision by referring to the Unud's Long-Term Academic Development Plan (RPAJP) 2020-2040, Unud's Strategic Plan (Renstra). 2020-2024, and the Main Performance Indicators (IKU) of the Directorate General of Higher Education. On this occasion, the Rector Candidates also responded to the questions raised by the Panelists.

The next stage is the screening stage carried out by giving voting rights by Senate members in the Udayana University Senate Session which will be held on April 26, 2021. In the screening stage, out of 5 Rector Candidates will be filtered and assigned to 3 Candidates for Rector based on the highest vote acquisition, then sent to the Ministry of Education and Culture along with supporting documents. The three Rector Candidates who have been appointed will conduct outreach to the Academic Community from 10 May-30 June 2021.

Raka Sudewi, Sp.S (K) on this occasion expressed his gratitude to the Rector Candidates who have contributed to this event so that the stages, processes starting from preparation, selection have been carried out until the presentation of the Vision and Mission, of course there are still the next stages. so that it can be carried out well, peacefully, and safely to get the proper leadership of Udayana University to bring Udayana University forward and to be more developed. Currently, it is a transitional period of changing the Rector which will determine Udayana University in the next four years to bring Udayana University to a better and more advanced level.
