The successfully defended dissertation entitled “Health Performance and Production of Balitbangtan Superior Kampung Chicken (KUB) After Administration of Neem Leaf Water Extract (Azadirachta indica A.Juss)”.

The results of the dissertation research found a novelty that found neem leaves (A.indica) taken from the Bukit Jimbaran area of ??South Kuta Badung Bali had an IC50 value of 1012.34 ppm, antioxidant capacity of 781.46 mg/L, phenol content of 243.78 mg/100g , flavonoid content 543.05 mg/100g, tannin content 223.13 mg/100g and positive for steroid and glycoside compounds; The addition of neem leaf water extract at a concentration of 1% -5% in drinking water is able to maintain the health performance of KUB chickens seen from the variable ability as an antibacterial, 0% mortality, Packed Cell Volume (PCV) values, eosinophils, SGOT, high intestinal crypts, inflammatory cell infiltration liver, hepatic cell degeneration, necrosis and congestion of hepatic vessels and intertubular hemorrhage; Giving neem leaf aqueous extract with a concentration of 1% obtained the best performance value for KUB chicken production in terms of final body weight, body weight gain, slaughter weight, carcass weight and digestibility percentage," said Dwi Ariani Yulihastuti. The purpose of the research conducted was that this study aimed to determine the active compounds of neem leaves and the effect of giving neem leaf water extract on the health performance and production performance of KUB chickens.
