The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Udayana University (FMIPA Unud) is holding the 2022 Science and Technology International Conference (STIC)

The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Udayana University, is hosting a Science and Technology International Conference (STIC) 2022, themed “Bridging Mathematics and Physical Science Through Multidisciplinary Research” on the 16th-17th of November, 2022. The conference is held in conjunction with the 2022 Congress of Indonesia Biology Consortium (KOBI). Being held at Agro-komplek Building, Sudirman Campus, Universitas Udayana, Bali, the conference aimed to bring together leading academic scientists, researchers, and research scholars toshare their research experiences. This meeting provides an interdisciplinary- platformfor researchers, practitioners, and educators todiscusscurrent issues,recent innovations,challenges faced, as well as various methodologies and approaches to accelerate the solutions.

 

The organizing-committee chairperson, Dra. Luh Putu Eswaryanti Kusuma Yuni, M.Sc., Ph.D, in her speech, highlighted the involvements of multi-background participants in the conference. “Around 250 people from seven countries participated in this conference, which are from USA, Singapore, Spain, Australia, China, Taiwan,and Indonesia”, said Eswaryanti.“There were four plenary presentations and one hundred fifty-five research topics presented in this conference comprising six subjects, consist of 61 topics in biology, 25 chemistry, 16 computer sciences, 14 mathematics and statistics, 17 pharmacy, and 22 physics.”, she added.

 

The Dean of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Dra. Ni Luh Watiniasih, M.Sc., Ph.D,emphasizes the potential contribution that STIC has, toward the Sustainable Development Goal (SDGs) proposed by the world leaders from the 20 developed and developing countries in the G20 Presidential meeting being held at the same time in Bali. “I believe the scientific works presenting in this conference is highly relevant with the three main topics being covered in the G20 meeting, which are strengthening global health architecture, digital transformation, and energy transition, described the Dean.

 

 

The Science and Technology Conference is an upgrade of annual National Conference held by the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Udayana University. “For this year, the conference held in conjunction with the 60th Anniversary of Udayana University”, described the Vice Rector of Academics Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ir. I Gede Rai Maya Temaja,in his speech on behalf of the Rector of Udayana University. “I do hope that this forum served as a forum for promoting advanced Mathematics and Natural Sciences with regard to economic growth and social welfare” he concluded.
