Encourage the achievement of the IKU target in 2022, FMIPA UNUD holds an OBE-based RPS workshop

The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) of Udayana University again held a Workshop on Developing Outcome Based Education (OBE) Curriculum Learning Tools on Thursday, July 7, 2022 (09.00 – 15.30 WITA). This workshop was conducted in order to encourage the achievement of the main performance indicator targets (KPI) in the field of education, namely collaborative and participatory classes through the implementation of learning methods such as case-based methods (CBM) and team-based projects (TBP). In this workshop, the committee invited Dr. Ir. Syamsul Arifin, M.T as a resource person. He is a lecturer at the Department of Physics Engineering, Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS) Surabaya. He also serves as a member of the curriculum expert team at the Directorate of Learning, Ministry of Education and Technology.

This workshop on the preparation of learning tools was attended by all lecturers in the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Udayana University. The workshop was conducted in a hybrid manner, where the invitees and the Learning Development and Quality Assurance Unit (UP3M) FMIPA team attended offline at the GF Building Floor II FMIPA, while resource persons and other participants took part online using the Cisco Webex platform. The workshop was carried out in two sessions, namely a material presentation session by resource persons and discussion, then a discussion session on the semester learning plan (RPS) which had been prepared by the workshop participants as representatives of each undergraduate study program within the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Udayana University. The workshop was opened by the Dean of FMIPA Udayana University, Dra. Ni Luh Watiniasih, M.Sc., Ph.D and closed by the Deputy Dean I of FMIPA, Dr.Drs. NO. Gandhiadi, M.T.

Technically, this workshop is focused on discussing and dissecting the OBE-based RPS along with the instrument for assessing student learning processes. RPS is an important part in the preparation for the implementation of the learning process. The OBE-based RPS visualizes the student-centered learning process through various case-based or project-based activities. Thus, the implementation of RPS OBE in learning is expected to help lecturers to carry out optimal learning so that students are able to achieve the target of learning achievement of subjects (CPMK) and achievement of graduate learning (CPL) to the fullest.

In her speech, Watiniasih, expressed her gratitude to the resource persons who were willing to take the time to deliver the material, and also hoped that the workshop participants could follow the instructions from the resource persons because the purpose of this workshop was to improve the RPS according to the direction of the ministry and the Rector of Udayana University. Where FMIPA is appointed to be able to participate in international accreditation. Hopefully this event can run smoothly.
