Application and Development of Green Technology in Civil Engineering

Technology as a product of science was created to improve human welfare. However, in the application and or further development, the availability of natural resources, environmental conditions and the negative impact of the application of a technology often overlooked.

This condition, to a certain extent, can reduce the intended benefits or even endanger the sustainability of the earth's existence and life. Awareness of this push scientist, engineer and practitioners in various fields, including in the field of civil engineering is closely related to the construction industry, to develop environmentally friendly technologies in order to ensure the sustainability of the earth and its contents.

To support this perspective, on Saturday, April 25, 2015, the Master of Civil Engineering, Graduate School, University of Udayana organized a National Seminar on Civil Engineering (Senats) 1 with the theme of Application and Development of Green Technology in Civil Engineering. This activity is intended as a forum for communication and exchange of information for scientists, engineer and practitioners with an interest or experience in the field of environmentally friendly technologies.
