The delegation was welcomed by the Rector of Udayana University, Prof. Ir. I Ketut Sudarsana, S.T., Ph.D., accompanied by the Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Ir. I Ngurah Sujaya, M.Agr.Sc., Ph.D., along with the Head of the Business Management and Development Board, the Director of the Indonesia Tourism Confucius Institute, the Head of the International Affairs Office, and the Head of the University Library.

In his remarks, Udayana University Rector Prof. I Ketut Sudarsana welcomed the visit and the academic collaboration with Tunghai University. He explained that Udayana University—which has transitioned into a State University with Legal Entity status (PTN-BH)—currently oversees 13 faculties, one postgraduate program, and 136 study programs.

“We hope that this collaboration will further strengthen the implementation of the Tridharma of Higher Education—specifically in the areas of education, research, and community service,” said the Rector of Udayana University. He further added that this international collaboration should not merely end with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), but should be promptly followed by a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) and concrete implementation that yields a broad impact for both institutions.

Echoing this sentiment, the Vice President of Tunghai University, Dr. Liu-Jeng, expressed his delight in visiting Bali and establishing a strategic partnership, which coincides with Tunghai University’s 71st anniversary. He explained that Tunghai University is a Christian-based institution with a strong commitment to international education, hosting thousands of international students—including hundreds from Indonesia.

“We are opening up extensive opportunities for student and faculty exchanges, further studies at the bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral levels, as well as bridging programs for the academic community of Udayana University who wish to pursue their studies at Tunghai University,” stated Dr. Liu-Jeng.

Through this partnership, Udayana University is optimistic that its global network and the quality of its tridharma will be further enhanced on the international stage.
