In his address, the Rector of Udayana University, Prof. Ir. He emphasized that this achievement is the result of their hard work, diligence, and persistence in overcoming various challenges throughout their academic journey.

The Rector reminded the graduates that commencement is not the end of their journey, but rather the beginning of new life challenges. Technological shifts, the advancement of artificial intelligence, the transformation of the professional landscape, and evolving social dynamics require graduates to continue learning and developing their competencies.

According to the Rector, university graduates are expected to possess not only academic proficiency but also integrity, adaptability, the courage to innovate, the ability to collaborate, and a sense of responsibility toward the environment and society.

“As alumni, you represent Udayana University within the community. Therefore, uphold your integrity, as your conduct in society will serve as a reflection of this institution,” the Rector advised.

The Rector expressed his hope that the graduates would apply the knowledge they have gained in a responsible and high-quality manner, making a tangible contribution to the advancement of society, the nation, and the country. He also urged the alumni to safeguard the reputation of their alma mater through their achievements, ethical conduct, and professionalism. In the academic report presented by the Vice Rector for Research, Innovation, and Commercialization, Prof. Dr. Gusti Ngurah Alit Susanta Wirya, S.P., M.Agr.—who represented the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs and Student Affairs—it was announced that 852 graduates from various levels of study, ranging from Diploma and Professional programs to Bachelor’s, Specialist, Master’s, and Doctoral degrees, were being conferred.
The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (MIPA) recorded the highest number of graduates with 164, followed by the Faculty of Medicine with 159, and the Faculty of Humanities with 98.

By level of study, the graduates consist of 472 Bachelor’s/Applied Bachelor’s degree holders, 201 Professional degree holders, 152 Master’s degree holders, 12 Doctoral degree holders, seven Specialist degree holders, and eight Diploma holders. Among the total number of graduates, 457 earned the distinction of “Cum Laude” (with honors). This achievement reflects the academic excellence attained by the graduates during their studies at Udayana University.

In addition to commending the graduates for their achievements, the Rector encouraged the new alumni to remain engaged in the development of Udayana University through the Udayana University Alumni Association (IKAYANA). Graduates are also requested to participate by completing an online tracer study questionnaire.
Alumni participation in the tracer study plays a vital role in providing feedback, which enables the university to evaluate and enhance the quality of education, learning processes, facilities, and academic services.

The Rector also expressed gratitude to the parents and families of the graduates for the trust they placed in Udayana University as the institution for their children’s higher education. Appreciation is also extended to the faculty members, administrative staff, the organizing committee, and all those who have contributed to the educational process and the execution of this graduation ceremony.

Through this 179th graduation ceremony, Udayana University hopes that its graduates will become exceptional, principled, adaptive, and competitive individuals, capable of making a positive contribution to society amidst the ever-evolving times.
