Badung – The Udayana University Business Incubator attended a public lecture organized by the Regional Executive Board of the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (BPD HIPMI) Bali on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at the Lecture Building of Udayana University.

The event carried the theme “Clean Bali, Independent Bali: Building a Green Business Ecosystem from Waste Downstreaming” and featured Anthony Leong, Candidate for Chairman of the BPP HIPMI for the 2026–2029 term. In his presentation, “HIPMI as a Driver of the National Economy: Advancing Together, Making a Real Impact Towards a Progressive Indonesia,” Anthony Leong emphasized the important role of young entrepreneurs in driving national economic growth through innovation and cross-sector collaboration.

The event also featured another speaker, Ricky Nababan, who provided strategic perspectives on entrepreneurship development and business opportunities in the era of a sustainable economy.

The event was a dynamic series, starting with the opening ceremony, a public lecture session, an interactive discussion, and a business pitch session, which provided students with the opportunity to present their business ideas. Furthermore, the event included a job fair, which opened up career opportunities and expanded the professional network of Udayana University students with various companies and industry players.

This forum provided a collaborative space for academics, students, and young entrepreneurs to discuss opportunities for developing green economy-based businesses, particularly through waste management and downstreaming as a source of new economic value.

The presence of Udayana University’s Inbis (Inbis) at this event was part of a commitment to strengthening synergy between academia and the business world. Inbis Unud also encouraged the development of startups and innovation-based businesses that are not solely profit-oriented but also able to address social and environmental challenges sustainably.

In addition to expanding collaborative networks with HIPMI Bali and industry players, this event also served as a crucial opportunity to encourage the younger generation to be more adaptive and visionary in viewing environmental issues as creative and innovative business opportunities.

This event is expected to strengthen the relationship between universities, the business world, and the entrepreneurial community in building a competitive, sustainable, and impactful business ecosystem for the Balinese people.
