JIMBARAN – In an effort to accelerate the enhancement of digital competence and student career readiness in the era of artificial intelligence, Udayana University—through its Student Affairs Bureau and Career Development and Alumni Unit (UPKA)—hosted an event titled “Airena Belajar IM3 with Google Gemini: Exploring AI with Experts” on Wednesday (August 12, 2026).
Held at the Theater Hall of the Lecture Building at the Unud Jimbaran Campus, the event showcased a strategic collaboration between the academic sector and the technology industry, specifically involving Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (IM3) and Google Indonesia.

Putu Satya Pratama Atmaja, S.Kel, M.Si, Secretary of UPKA Udayana University, emphasized in his opening remarks that mastering Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology is no longer merely an option but a necessity for students amidst the exponential pace of global change.
“Udayana University does not want its students to be mere spectators. We must stand at the forefront as drivers of change and innovators. Mastering tools like Google Gemini using precise prompting techniques is how we multiply our creativity and competitiveness to produce tangible results.”
He further highlighted that this event represents a concrete step by the institution toward achieving Strategic Goal 4 (SS4): Enhancing Graduate Achievements and Competitiveness. This aligns with Key Performance Indicator 2a (IKU 2a), which focuses on connecting graduates with the workforce, further education, and entrepreneurship.

“Today’s career training program, live demonstrations, and digital skills workshops serve as a ‘golden bridge’ connecting the academic world with the demands of the modern digital industry. We highly appreciate IM3 and Google Indonesia for this strategic collaboration,” he added. During the event, students were encouraged to actively participate in various activities, ranging from seminars and training sessions to a prompt engineering competition. This initiative is expected to serve as a foundation for students to build their portfolios and cultivate the mindset of lifelong learners.
Through this activity, Udayana University remains optimistic about its ability to continue producing outstanding graduates who are not only academically proficient but also adaptable and globally competitive in the professional world.
