Jakarta — The Rector of Udayana University (Unud), Prof. Ir. I Ketut Sudarsana, S.T., Ph.D., attended the Board Meeting of the Council of Rectors of Indonesian State Universities (MRPTNI) held at the ISTH Building (5th Floor), Universitas Indonesia (UI) Salemba Campus, Jakarta, on Monday (September 14, 2026). The meeting served as a forum to discuss several strategic agendas regarding the strengthening of governance and the evolution of higher education policies.
Within the MRPTNI leadership structure, the Unud Rector attended in his capacity as the Head of the Culture and Sports Development Division. The meeting was attended by MRPTNI board members—including the Chairperson, Secretary-General, Treasurer, and Vice-Chairpersons—as well as the Rector of UI, who served as the event host. One of the meeting’s main agenda items was the discussion on establishing a special MRPTNI unit as part of the organization’s institutional strengthening efforts. According to the official agenda, the session began with a brief perspective on the unit’s formation, followed by deliberations and discussions among the board members.
During the discussion, the board also deliberated on plans to develop a professional unit capable of supporting the management of MRPTNI’s activities and resources. This included discussing mechanisms for managing and distributing profit-sharing derived from asset or business management, sponsorships, and donations.
Beyond institutional matters, the meeting provided a platform for state university leaders to exchange views on the management and policy of Specialist Doctor Education Programs (PPDS) and plans to evaluate student admissions via the independent admission track. These discussions were part of an effort to strengthen coordination and synergy among state universities in responding to developments in higher education policy.
The MRPTNI board meeting concluded with the presentation of a summary by the MRPTNI Chairperson. The event is expected to strengthen coordination among state universities and support the formulation of collective measures to address the various developments and needs of higher education in Indonesia.
