Unud Participates in the Bali Wellness and Beauty Expo 2026, a Collaborative Platform for Wellness and Beauty Industry Players

Denpasar – Udayana University Rector Prof. Ir. I Ketut Sudarsana, S.T., Ph.D., accompanied by Vice Rector for Student Affairs Prof. Dr. Gusti Ngurah Alit Susanta Wirya, S.P., M.Agr., attended the opening ceremony of the Bali Wellness and Beauty (BWB) Expo 2026 at the Bali Beach Convention Center, The Meru Sanur, on Friday (June 5, 2026). The event, themed “Thrive in Bali: Where Wellness Inspires the World,” marks a crucial moment in strengthening the national wellness and beauty industry ecosystem through collaboration between the government, businesses, and various stakeholders in developing a healthy ecosystem in Indonesia.

The opening ceremony began with various speeches from Dr. Diah Permana, Co-Founder and Managing Director of the Bali Wellness and Beauty Expo 2026; The Group CEO of Bank Rakyat Indonesia, Hery Gunardi; the Governor of Bali, represented by the Head of the Bali Provincial Tourism Office, Dr. I Wayan Sumarajaya, M.Sc.; and the Deputy Minister of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises of the Republic of Indonesia, Helvi Yuni Moraza. The Bali Wellness and Beauty Expo 2026 was officially opened by the Deputy Minister of Tourism of the Republic of Indonesia, Ni Luh Puspa.

Another important moment at the opening of the BWB Expo 2026 was the declaration of the Indonesia Wellness and Beauty Entrepreneurs Association (IWBEA) as a collaborative platform for wellness and beauty industry players in Indonesia. The presence of this organization is expected to strengthen synergy between business actors, raise industry standards, expand business networks, and support the development of the wellness and beauty sector at the national and global levels.

More than 140 brands participated in the exhibition, which also featured various talk shows, interactive workshops, and business matching sessions to bring together entrepreneurs, investors, and communities. The Udayana University Business Incubator (INBIS) also participated in the Bali Wellness and Beauty Expo 2026. The Bali Wellness and Beauty Expo 2026 will run until June 6, 2026, and is open to industry players and the general public. The event is expected to foster innovation, expand business collaboration opportunities, and strengthen Indonesia’s position, particularly Bali’s, as a global hub for the wellness industry.
