Bebandem, June 10, 2026 – The Udayana University Communication Studies Program implemented a Village Service Program through the “Ikom Unud for Bebandem 2026” event held at the Bebandem Village Head Office, Karangasem Regency. This event featured a series of activities, including MSME visits, Cybercrime Outreach, and MSME Digitalization, as an effort to improve community digital literacy and optimize the potential of MSMEs in the digital era.

The event was attended by I Komang Merta Jiwa, S.E., a member of the Bali Provincial Regional Representative Council (DPD RI), representatives from Bank BPD Bali, PT Permodalan Nasional Madani, Bebandem Village officials, MSMEs, the village community, lecturers, and students from the Udayana University Communication Studies Program.

“Going forward, the DPD RI, together with Udayana University, particularly the Communication Studies Program, will continue to collaborate in efforts to enhance the potential of MSMEs in Bebandem Village,” said I Komang Merta Jiwa.

As part of a series of activities, the Communication Studies Program of Udayana University, along with members of the Regional Representative Council (DPD) of the Republic of Indonesia (DPD) of Bali Province, Bank BPD Bali, and PT Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM), visited two MSMEs in Bebandem Village: Puspa Sari, which produces Hindu ceremonial items, and Minyak Tandusan, which produces traditional coconut oil and various processed products. These visits provided a forum for dialogue between stakeholders and MSMEs, allowing them to directly observe the production process, identify business challenges, and explore opportunities for sustainable development and mentoring.
