Udayana University’s 176th Graduation Ceremony Held at the Giri Nata Mandala Cultural Hall

Badung – Udayana University held an academic ceremony for its 176th Graduation Ceremony, sending off 1,044 graduates at the Giri Nata Mandala Cultural Hall, Badung Government Center (Puspem), on Saturday (July 4, 2026).

The graduation ceremony was held in two sessions. The first session was attended by graduates from the Postgraduate Program, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Agriculture, and Faculty of Economics and Business. The second session was attended by graduates from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Faculty of Tourism, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, and Faculty of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries. As of the 176th graduation ceremony, Udayana University has produced 136,953 graduates.

In his report, the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs of Udayana University, Prof. Ir. I Nengah Sujaya, M.Agr.Sc., Ph.D., stated that, based on educational level, this period’s graduates consisted of 29 Doctoral Program graduates, 61 Master’s Program graduates, 21 Specialist/Subspecialist Program graduates, 140 Professional Program graduates, 792 Bachelor’s/Applied Bachelor’s Program graduates, and 1 Diploma.

Of these graduates, 579 earned Cum Laude honors. In terms of academic achievement, female graduates performed better than male graduates, with an average Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.85, while the average GPA for male graduates was 3.79. Furthermore, the average study period for female graduates was 8.33 semesters, shorter than the average study period for male graduates, who completed 9.1 semesters.

The Vice Rector hopes that the graduates will not only possess a mastery of knowledge but also develop character and intelligence, upholding dedication, innovation, and collaboration in their professional and social lives.

He also invited alumni to participate in a tracer study organized by Udayana University. He stated that alumni participation is crucial as a source of feedback in efforts to improve the quality of higher education management, from facilities and learning processes to student services.

Meanwhile, the Rector of Udayana University, Prof. Ir. I Ketut Sudarsana, S.T., Ph.D., congratulated all graduates on their successful completion of their education at Udayana University.

In his remarks, the Rector emphasized that graduation is the culmination and official marker of the completion of the educational process at a particular level at the university. This momentum also demonstrates Udayana University’s responsibility to prepare superior, high-quality human resources capable of competing globally.

The Rector emphasized that each alumni represents Udayana University in the community. Therefore, the attitudes, behavior, and integrity of alumni will reflect the good name of their alma mater.

“We hope that you will apply your knowledge in your respective professions with greater responsibility and quality. Continue learning, work intelligently and sincerely, and maintain the good name of your alma mater. May the knowledge you have gained be effectively implemented for the advancement of society, the nation, and the state,” said the Rector.

Through this 176th Graduation Ceremony, Udayana University reaffirms its commitment to producing graduates who excel not only academically but also possess character, integrity, and a commitment to the development of Indonesian society and the nation.
