Jimbaran – Udayana University (Unud) is once again participating in the 2026 National Statistics Ria and Data Science Festival (SATRIADATA) in the National Statistics Competition (NSC) organized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Kemdiktisaintek). Twelve of Udayana University’s top students participated in the preliminary round, which was held online on Saturday (July 18, 2026) in the first-floor classroom of the Lecture Building, Jimbaran Campus.

The Coordinator of Student Interest, Reasoning, and Information Affairs at Udayana University, I Made Budiastrawan, S.Kom., M.M., stated that the SATRIADATA competition follows the timeline set by Kemdiktisaintek for each university to prepare delegates for national competition.

“The selection process is carried out in stages. It begins with a selection at the faculty level, then the best participants are re-selected to represent Udayana University. After that, the selected delegates will compete at the national level,” he said.

He explained that this year’s SATRIADATA preliminary rounds were held online. Successful participants will advance to the final round, which will be held offline at a location determined by the Ministry of Education and Science and Technology.

“The preliminary round took place online today. We previously conducted a two-day trial to ensure all participants were ready, both technically and in terms of competition execution. If successful, participants will participate in the final round, which will be held offline at a location determined by the ministry,” he explained.

The 12 students representing Udayana University are the result of a multi-stage selection process at the faculty and university levels, and are expected to demonstrate their best performance in this national competition.

Udayana University is targeting maximum performance in SATRIADATA 2026. “Our target is to qualify for the final round and win a gold medal at the national level,” concluded I Made Budiastrawan.

Udayana University’s participation in SATRIADATA 2026 demonstrates the university’s commitment to fostering student achievement in statistics and data science, while strengthening student competitiveness in national-level academic competitions.
