Jimbaran – The Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Kemdiktisaintek) of the Republic of Indonesia has appointed three Acting Bureau Heads at Udayana University. This appointment is part of efforts to strengthen governance while ensuring that administrative and institutional services continue to operate optimally amidst Udayana University’s transformation agenda. The appointment letters were handed over directly by the Udayana University Rector in the Language Room of the Rectorate Building at the Jimbaran Campus on Friday (August 28, 2026).
The appointments are outlined in the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology’s directive letter dated August 18, 2026. According to the letter, the term of office for these acting officials runs until November 17, 2026.
The three officials entrusted with these duties are Agoes Hadi Birawan, S.E., M.M., as Acting Head of the Academic, Cooperation, and Public Relations Bureau; Dr. I Wayan Santiyasa, M.Si., as Acting Head of the Student Affairs Bureau; and Dr. I Wayan Gayun Widharma, S.E., M.Si., as Acting Head of the Planning and Finance Bureau.
Udayana University’s Vice Rector for General Affairs and Finance, Prof. Agoes Ganesha Rahyuda, S.E., M.T., Ph.D., explained that the appointments were made in accordance with the provisions of the Regulation of the Minister of Research, Technology, and Higher Education (Permenristekdikti) Number 30 of 2016 and the State Civil Service Agency (BKN) Circular Letter Number 1/SE/I/2021. These acting assignments do not replace the functional positions or additional duties previously held by the respective officials.
Meanwhile, the Rector of Udayana University, Prof. Ir. I Ketut Sudarsana, S.T., Ph.D., welcomed the appointment of the three acting officials. The Rector urged the Acting Bureau Heads to immediately carry out their duties responsively and ensure that operations within their respective bureaus continue to run optimally.
The Rector of Udayana University also encouraged these officials to promptly fulfill their mandates with a strong sense of responsibility. He emphasized the importance of ensuring the effective execution of duties and functions within each bureau, while maintaining coordination to support organizational needs and services for the academic community.
The Acting Bureau Heads are expected to quickly adapt to their assigned roles, strengthen communication and coordination across units, and ensure the sustainable implementation of various programs and services at Udayana University.
