In Gianyar, the Sidan Village Development Team from the Faculty of Law, Udayana University, successfully held an Early Environmental Education activity with the theme “Love the Environment Like You Love Your Friends: Let’s Reduce Plastic Waste.” This activity aimed to increase public awareness and understanding, especially children, about the importance of protecting the environment and reducing plastic waste in Sidan Village.

The activity took place on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at the Jageperang Banjar Hall in Sidan Village. Students from Sidan 3 and 4 Elementary Schools participated.

This activity was made possible through collaboration with Mrs. Putu Diah Pradnya Maharani, B.Sc., a member of the Bali Provincial DPRD, who provided support and motivation to the students to become a generation who cares about environmental sustainability.

Not only did they receive educational materials about the dangers of plastic waste and the importance of maintaining a clean environment, but they also participated in practical activities such as sorting waste according to type and producing eco-enzymes, a method of utilizing organic waste in an environmentally friendly and useful way.

Through these activities, it is hoped that children will understand that protecting the environment is a shared responsibility. With simple steps like reducing the use of single-use plastic, sorting waste, and processing organic waste, we can create a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable environment.
