Jimbaran – Udayana University (Unud) continues to encourage the strengthening of the innovation ecosystem through the Forum for Mapping and Acceleration of Innovation Products towards Commercialization at Udayana University, Thursday (24/9/2026), in the Library Building Hall, Bukit Jimbaran Campus. This forum is a step to map and accelerate the development of research results and innovative products so that they can provide real benefits to society.
This activity was attended by the Chair of the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) Unud along with staff, Chair and Team of the Unud Business Incubator, resource persons, inventors, lecturers, and forum participants.
In his remarks, the Chancellor of Unud, represented by the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Gusti Ngurah Alit Susanta Wirya, S.P., M.Agr., said that the forum was not just an agenda to list lecturer invention products, but was an effort to ensure that knowledge born on campus could be turned into solutions that were felt to be beneficial to the community.
“Research must have the courage to go further: from idea to prototype, from prototype to product, and from product to real benefits.”
According to Vice Chancellor III, Unud has academic resources, creativity and various research results that have the potential to be developed. Therefore, mapping, continuous assistance, protection of intellectual property, testing of readiness and relevance, as well as collaboration with the business world, industry, government and society are needed.
This forum is also directed at identifying innovations that still need to be strengthened, are ready to be developed, or have the opportunity to be immediately downstream. It is hoped that this mapping can help Unud provide more appropriate assistance so that resources can be directed to innovations that provide added value.
By strengthening the innovation ecosystem, Unud encourages academics to produce work that does not just stop as research results, but develops into products and has a real impact on society.
