YOGYAKARTA – The Asian Law Students’ Association Local Chapter of Udayana University (ALSA LC Unud) strengthened its organizational capacity and student networking through the ALSA Visit UGM 2026 event, held from September 17–19, 2026, at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM). Attended by 46 students from the Udayana University (Unud) Faculty of Law, the event served as a platform for exchanging experiences and insights with the ALSA Local Chapter of Universitas Gadjah Mada (ALSA LC UGM).
The event provided students with the opportunity to gain firsthand insight into organizational management practices within another local chapter. Beyond broadening perspectives, the interaction among students fostered an exchange of ideas regarding the implementation of work programs and the development of student organizations.
The ALSA Visit UGM 2026 program began with a “Division Sharing” session between ALSA LC Unud and ALSA LC UGM. Each division shared experiences regarding work systems, program implementation, and organizational management. This forum allowed students to observe various approaches to executing programs and managing organizational dynamics.
Participants subsequently took part in a campus tour to familiarize themselves with the academic environment and facilities at Universitas Gadjah Mada. Through this visit, the Unud Law students gained experience regarding the academic atmosphere and campus life at another university.
In addition to enriching organizational experience, ALSA Visit UGM 2026 strengthened ties between local chapters within the ALSA network. The meetings and interactions that took place during the event opened up avenues for communication and future collaboration between ALSA LC Unud and ALSA LC UGM.
Through this activity, students are expected to become more open to new experiences and perspectives while developing their capacities in organization, networking, and inter-university collaboration. This aligns with efforts to develop student competencies that rely not only on academic learning but also on organizational experience and networking beyond the campus.
