Gianyar – As part of the implementation of the Impact Campus program and the Tri Dharma of Higher Education in community service, the Melinggih Village Development Group, Faculty of Law, Udayana University, held a Waste Management Socialization event themed “Raising Community Awareness of Melinggih Village in Achieving Effective and Sustainable Waste Management,” held in the Meeting Room of the Melinggih Village Office on Thursday, June 11, 2026.
This event featured representatives from the Gianyar Regency Environmental Agency as speakers who provided education on proper and sustainable waste management procedures. The socialization was attended by Melinggih Village officials, representatives of traditional leaders, the Head of the Melinggih Village BPD, and the 2026 Melinggih Village Development Field Supervisor.
As a follow-up to these educational activities, the Melinggih Village Development Group also carried out concrete actions by handing over trash cans to Pura Agung Payangan, Pura Puseh Payangan, and Pura Dalem Agung Payangan. This activity aims to support the creation of a clean environment and raise public awareness about maintaining the cleanliness of public areas and places of worship.
Through this activity, the Melinggih Village Development Group of the Faculty of Law, Udayana University, hopes to encourage active community participation in effective and sustainable waste management to create a clean, healthy, and sustainable village environment.
