Badung – The Chancellor of Udayana University and the Regent of Badung signed a joint agreement regarding the implementation of affirmative action scholarships in Badung Regency. The agreement was signed on Tuesday (June 9, 2026) at the Giri Nata Mandala Cultural Hall, Badung Regency Government Center.

This joint agreement was signed with various universities in Bali, represented by Udayana University and the Indonesian Hindu University. Through this agreement, the Badung Regency Government provides scholarships to students pursuing higher education at universities, including Udayana University, as an effort to support accelerated regional development.

Badung Regent I Wayan Adi Arnawa stated that economic limitations should not limit children’s access to education, whether at the secondary school or university level. This commitment was demonstrated through the launch of the “Nak Bali” scholarship program targeting high school and vocational school students and an affirmative action scholarship program for university students.

Responding to this collaboration, the Chancellor of Udayana University, Prof. Ir. I Ketut Sudarsana, S.T., Ph.D., welcomed this joint agreement, particularly as it aims to improve the quality of human resources in Bali Province. This aligns with Udayana University’s vision of excellence and competitiveness.

The launch of this program was part of the Badung Education Fair 2026, held from June 9-11, 2026, at the Badung Regency Government Center. This event served as a platform for talent showcases for early childhood education (PAUD), elementary school (SD), and junior high school (SMP) students, as well as a campus fair for high school (SMA/SMK) students.
