PREVALENCE OF LUNG FUNCTION DISORDER ON PADAS STONE WORKER IN SILAKARANG GIANYAR BALI

Batu padas worker is at risk of exposure to air pollution caused by the dust of the padas stone output. Piece of padas stone that likes coral can become dust that possibly trigger pulmonary function disorder. This study aimed to determine the prevalence of pulmonary function disorder experienced by padas stone worker in Silakarang Gianyar Bali The study is descriptive cross-sectional study. The data used is primary data that the data obtained through direct measurement using a measuring instrument of lung function named spirometry. The research sample is padas stone worker who have worked at least 1 years, work in Silakarang Gianyar, male gender and aged 20 to 55 years. From 47 samples obtained from measurement, the age group 41-55 years old is the most numerous which consist of 24 people (51%), almost all of the marital status of the sample which consist of 45 people (96%) were married. From the length of working the most common is subject which is working more than 15 years that consist of 30 people (64%) and from smoking history, the most common is subject that had a history of smoking which consist of 30 people (64%). The conclusion of this study showed that lung function disorder that most common found is restrictive lung disorder. Distributed by the body mass index, the lung disorder was found at most in group with normal body mass index. If distributed by smoking history it was found at most in group with history of smoking. Distributed by length of working, it was found at most in group with length of working more than 15 years and if distributed by age group it was found at most in group with age 41-55 years old.
