In order to fulfill animal protein in Indonesia ", the Faculty of Animal Husbandry of Udayana University, the Faculty of Animal Husbandry of Andalas University, the Faculty of Animal Husbandry of Sam Ratulangi University , and the Faculty of Animal Husbandry of Warmadewa University and supported by General PERSEPSI (Association of Indonesian Socio-Economic Scientists) Prof. Ir. Budi Guntoro, S.Pt, M.Sc, PhD., IPU, ASEAN.Eng, collaborated to organize a virtual national webinar using the ZOOM Video Conferencing platform, Saturday (05/29/2020).

Chair of the webinar committee Prof. Dr. Ir. James Hellyward, MS, IPU, ASEAN. Eng from Andalas University and vice chairman Dr. Ir Budi Rahayu Tanama Putri, S.Pt, MM, IPM, ASEAN. Eng from Udayana University hopes that the implementation of the Webinar this time will become a model in realizing the "Merdeka, Merdeka Belajar" program launched by the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia.

This national webinar presents two main speakers from the Directorate General of Animal Husbandry and Health, Ministry of Agriculture, namely the Director of Processing and Marketing of Animal Products (Ir. Fini Murfiani, M, Si) and the Director of Animal Breeding and Production (Ir. Sugiono, MP). As a discussion five professors from various universities namely Prof. Dr. Cece Sumantri, M.Agr. Sc. from IPB, Prof. Suhubdy, Ph.D from the University of Mataram, Prof. Dr. Ir. Zaituni Udin, M.Sc from Andalas University, Prof. Dr. Ir. I Gede Mahardika, MS from Udayana University and Prof. Dr. Ir. Femi H. Elly, MP, IPU from Sam Ratulangi University.

In an online exposure session, the resource person explained the contribution of local livestock businesses before and after the pandemic in meeting animal protein in Indonesia. Steps to be taken after Covid-19 Pandemic period mainly empowering local livestock and how local livestock development strategies are from providing seedlings, developing technology in maintenance management, institutional and marketing their products are also discussed in this session.

This session was attended by around 325 participants from lecturers, researchers, S1, S2 and S3 students from all over Indonesia. In the second session 92 papers were presented in 18 virtual parallel classes. Papers are grouped into several fields of science, namely: (1). Animal Production, (2). Animal Nutrition and Food, (3). Animal Product Technology, and (4). Social Economics of Animal Husbandry. This webinar is also broadcast live on Udayana TV's YouTube channel.
