HIMADESPAR Held a National Seminar on Millennial Tourism

Denpasar, (6/18) The Students’ Association of Tourism Destination Department, Faculty of Tourism, Udayana University held a National Seminar entitled "Millennial Tourism (challenges and opportunities)." The seminar was held in Nusantara Room, Agrokomplek Building, Unud, which was followed by 150 participants consisting of Tourism students and the general public engaged in Tourism.

 

According to I Gusti Ayu Komang Meilinda Wijayanthi as Chairman of the Committee, explained that the purpose of the chosen theme was that in recent years there had been a change in the trend of tourism, which was dominated by Millennials, so that through this seminar we could find out the challenges and opportunities of changing tourism trends.

The three speakers in this national seminar were Yovita Ayu Liwanuru as Miss Scuba Indonesia 2012, explained how to be a good traveler for the environment visited, secondly, Ida Bagus Purwa Sidemen as Executive Director of PHRI Bali explained that Bali has been facing challenges with many tourism accommodations that violate the prevailing policies and I Putu Suta Wijaya as Chairman of Genpi Bali, informs that the millennial forum is to share his experience into a writing through Genpi Bali.

The follow-up agenda of this seminar is a village development which in this agenda aims to inform young people in Kerta Gianyar Village on tourism development and how to manage the potential of the village.(kezia)
