FAMILY OF HISTORICAL SCIENCE STUDENTS CELEBRATE THE 53RD ANNIVERSARY

Denpasar - Thursday (21/09), Student Association of Historical Science Study Program Faculty of Cultural Knowledge, Udayana University celebrated the 53rd Anniversary of Historical Science Study Program at Serangan campground, Denpasar. The anniversary that should fall in August was attended by about 90 students, and lecturers of Historical Science Study Program.

Ismail explained that this activity is intentionally held outside the campus, with the aim to strengthen kinship both between students and with lecturers. "Because, this activity is not just sharing and commemorating the anniversary only, but we also will have an  Out Door activity" he said.

"It is expected that this activity can strengthen the sense of kinship in our department (Student Association of Historical Science Study Program) and also with the lecturers. Especially, the freshmen of 2017 who just joined Family of Historical Students (KEMAS) Udayana", said Ismail, the chairman of the committee of the Historical Science Study Program’s Anniversary..

Fransiska Dewi Setiowati Sunaryo S.S., M.Hum as secretary of the department said that, in the age of more than half a century this year, the Historical Science Study Program has undergone many improvements. Especially after the Historical Science Study Program get accreditation of A and the number of students the last three years has increased quite rapidly. If the current year the department accommodates 40 students then next year the number of students of Historical Science Study Program will be ascertained the quota of 50 students.

More than that, he also advised for students to further enhance the student activities, especially in the academic field. "In the near future, the Historical Science Study Program will be re-accredited again, so I advise the students to improve their achievement, especially in the academic field, so that the majors accreditation will survive," he said.

The anniversary celebration of Historical Science Study Program looked increasingly clear when the students following the contests. Like the “gloved” Futsal race, tug of war, and pour the water by using a dust-cloth.
