Udayana in Brief
Udayana University is the first state university in Bali and it was established in 1963. Today the university has 12 faculties and 95 program of studies. Udayana university is also known as Unud and today is listed as one of the 50 Promising Universities of Indonesia published by the Ministry of Education Republic of Indonesia, out of nearly 3000 higher education institutions around the country.
Teaching, research, and community development are the center of Unud’s life. The university conducts the three area of development from our three campuses. The main campus is located in the southern peninsula of Bali, at the top of Jimbaran Hill, close to the international tourist hot spots and only half an hour drive from the air port. Our two city campuses is in the heart of Denpasar, the capital city of Bali, home to nearly 1.5 million people.
Unud is home to relatively large number of international students. As of today, thousands of international students have studied in Unud, taking either short courses or study abroad, internship, a full undergraduate degree or postgraduate study. Students come from different parts of the world, from as south as Brazil up to the north of Europe such as Norway and Finland. The annual international student number is increasing in line with Unud’s plan to offer more international classes. The internationalisation of Unud is fully supported by the Ministry of Education.
Unud has long history of international collaboration with partners from around the world. The university has collaborated with universities from Australia, Asia, Europe and from the US.
