Beasiswa SEAMEO SEARCA

The Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA) invites applications from qualified faculty members and researchers of Udayana University for graduate scholarship (MS and PhD) in agriculture and related fields focused on agricultural competitiveness and natural resource management for school year 2012-2013.

directly to the Ministry of National Education. All scholarship nominees from Indonesia will be interviewed betweenSeptember and December 2011 at a venue to be identified by the Ministry of National Education.

The list of applicants accompanied by a complete set of requirements must be received by SEARCA through the Ministry of National Education not later than 30 July 2011.

The following documents should be fully accomnplished and submitted by each nominee:

1. SEARCA Scholarship Application form (three copies), two copies to be submitted to the Ministry of Education and one copy to be submitted directly to SEARCA

2. Application forms for admission to the Graduate Schools of any three (3) Universities listed in SEARCA Scholarship application form where the applicant would like to pursue graduate studies;

3. Original transcript of academic records bearing the seal of the University and fresh signatures of the Registrar or Head of the University, Applicants for MS degree should submit their original Bachelor of Science (BS) transcript of records. PhD degree applicants should submit their original BS and MS transcript of records;

4. Certification of employment;

5. Updated curriculum vitae;

6. Brief description of the research the applicant plans to conduct for thesis/dissertation. The research topic must be in line with the thrusts of SEARCA’s Ninth Five-Year Plan i.e., agricultural competitiveness, sustainable land use and water management, and biodiversity conservation by addressing economic and institutional constraints, expanding access to productive resources and technology, and strengthening local governance capability to deliver agricultural services. SEARCA’s Ninth Five-Year Plan may be accessed from http://www.searce.org;

7. Two copies of passport-size photo applicant;

8. Certification from a medical doctor that the applicant is in good physical and mental health condition and is fit to undertake graduate studies; and

9. A passing TOEFL score of 550 or IELTS result of 6.0.

Please be informed that application with incomplete documents will not be evaluated. Furthermore, submission of complete application documents does not automatically entitle the nominee to a scholarship award. The number of scholarship awards given to a particular country depends on the availability of funds and fulfillment of the requirements for graduate school admission. Nominees/applicants who are denied admission by the concerned Graduate School will not be considered.

Moreover, all applicants/nominees for both MS and PhD programs not be older than 35 years old at the time of applications.

Surasak Montri High School Bangkok, Thailand visit Udayana University

Lecturers of Surasak Montri High School, Bangkok, Thailand visited Udayana University on 15th of October. The Vice President of Udayana University, Prof.Made Suastra, Ph.D. and the Head of International Office and staffs present in the meeting which focused on exchanging ideas and brief introduction of Udayana University campusses and Surasak Montri High School Bangkok. The delegates were also introduced briefly the Sudirman campus and were very enthusiastic on the architecture of the architecture of the new buildings of Udayana University, including the traditional Balinese architectures of the campus temple. It was a constructive meeting which will be followed by a closer collaboration in the future.

Delegasi dari International Office-Universitas Sebelas Maret, Solo, mengunjungi Universitas Udayana pada tanggal 22 Oktober 2010.

Rombongan yang dipimpin oleh dr.Paramasari Dirgahayu, Ph.D. beserta lima puluhan mahasiswa asing yang sedang belajar di UNS Solo diterima oleh PR4 Unud, Prof.I Made Suastra, Ph.D., Ketua International Office, Universitas Udayana, Prof.DR.Phil I Ketut Ardhana, MA, dan PD1 FISIP Unud, Prof. Dr. Drs. I Wayan Suandi,S.H.,M.Hum.

Acara ramah tamah yang diisi dengan tukar menukar informasi dan tanya jawab mengenai kegiatan International Office di universitas masing-masing. Mahasiswa asing UNS Solo yang turut serta dalam kunjungan tersebut sangat antusias mengenai Universitas Udayana dan Bali. Pertemuan yang tentu saja memberi manfaat untuk kedua belah pihak ditutup dengan foto bersama dan pertukaran cenderamata.

Beasiswa Fulbright

FULBRIGHT-DIKTI MASTER’S DEGREE PROGRAM

Preference will be given to applicants who serve as faculty members of state and private institutions of higher education in Indonesia. Applicants will possess:

  • a Bachelor (S1) degree with a minimum GPA of 3.0 (4.00 scale)
  • leadership qualities
  • a good understanding of Indonesian and international cultures a
  • demonstrated commitment to the chosen field of study
  • a willingness to return to Indonesia upon completion of the Fulbright-DIKTI program
  • a minimum institutional TOEFL score of 550 or IELTS score of 6.0

Beasiswa TGGS dan kunjungan Dr.Toni Anwar (representatif TGGS)

Dr.Toni Anwar, representatif TGGS (Thai-German Graduate School of Engineering) mengunjungi Universitas Udayana pada tanggal 15 Oktober 2010 untuk mempresentasikan mengenai TGGS dan beasiswa yang disediakan. TGGS merupakan hasil kerjasama RWTH Aachen dan King Mongkut’s University of Technology, Thailand. TGGS berlokasi di Bangkok, Thailand dan menawarkan program master dan doktor dalam bidang keteknikan. Program belajar berlangsung di Bangkok dan di Aachen, Jerman. Saat ini, TGGS menawarkan 8 program MSc. dan 2 program doktor. Disediakan juga Beasiswa yang meliputi round trip ticket Jakarta-Bangkok-Aachen, living cost satu tahun di Bangkok dan satu tahun di Jerman. Selain itu TGGS mempunyai hubungan yang sangat bagus dengan industri yang terkait, mahasiswa dapat ditempatkan dan mendapatkan uang saku tambahan (internship). Visit of delegates of Guangxi Economic Management Cadre College

Today, 13th October 2010 The delegates from Guangxi Economic Management Cadre College, China visited Udayana University to exchange information on possible collaboration between two institutions. The Vice President of Collaboration of Udayana University, Prof.Made Suastra met the delegates at the Rectorate Building, Bukit Jimbaran Campus. Informal and friendly talk between two parties covers from students exchange and future visits to follow up todays meeting and possible implementation of signing of formal cooperation agreement. The guest delegates, lead by Prof.Wei Mao Fan, also invite Udayana University to visit Guangxi Economic Management Cadre College, China. Todays meeting was ended by souvenirs exchange between two parties. Menindaklanjuti surat kami nomor: 253/D4.2/2010 tanggal 3 Februari 2010, perihal penyelengaraan tes TPA dan TOEFL tahun 2010, berikut ini dengan hormat kami sampaikan daftar nama calon peserta tes yang lulus seleksi administrasi sebagai calon peserta kegiatan dimaksud (lampiran II.).

Tes TPA dan TOEFL akan dilaksanakan dalam 2 (dua) gelombang, yaitu gelombang I (pertama) pada tanggal 24 Juli 2010, dan gelombang II (kedua) pada tanggal 31 Juli 2010, dengan lokasi tes TPA dan TOEFL masing-masing seperti pada lampiran I.

Hal-hal yang perlu diperhatikan bagi calon peserta yang mengikuti tes TPA dan TOEFL adalah sebagai berikut:

  • Perjalanan/transportasi dari asal perguruan tinggi peserta ke perguruan tinggi/ lokasi tes dan akomodasi ditanggung oleh masing-masing peserta;
  • Konsumsi selama kegiatan akan disediakan oleh Direktorat Ketenagaan Ditjen Dikti;
  • Apabila pada saat tes TPA dan TOEFL peserta terlambat hadir maka peserta tersebut dinyatakan gugur, dan tidak ada tes susulan;
  • Peserta membawa surat tugas dari Pimpinan Perguruan Tinggi yang bersangkutan dan kartu identitas diri;
  • Bagi yang berhalanagan hadir, segera melapor atau konfirmasi melalui email ke: etaryono[at]dikti.go.id, dtriyanto[at]dikti.go.id atau langsung ke Direktorat Ketenagaan Gedung D lantai 5 Kemdiknas. Seluruh klarifikasi/konfirmasi tersebut kami terima paling lambat tanggal 20 Juli 2010

Visit of Dr.Pim Alders, Saxion University

Dr.Pim Alders of Saxion University, The Netherland visited Udayana University to explore the possibility of collaboration with Udayana University in the field of archeology. Accompanied by Dr.Johanna Korteland, Dr. Pim Alders was welcome by The Vice Rectors for Collaboration-Udayana University, Prof.Made Suastra, The Head of Archeology Department, Drs.I Nyoman Wardi, MSi., one of Udayana University historian, Dr.I Nyoman Wijaya, M.Hum and The Secretary of International Office, Yenni Ciawi. In the meeting, which took place in The International Office-Udayana University, many issues on the form of collaboration has been discussed such as research collaboration, student exchange, internship and joint seminar. BEASISWA L’OREAL

L’Oréal Indonesia didukung oleh Komisi Nasional Indonesia untuk UNESCO, kembali memberi kesempatan bagi peneliti wanita muda Indonesia untuk meraih fellowship nasional dari program L’ORÉAL-UNESCO FOR WOMEN IN SCIENCE 2010.

 

Program nasional L’Oréal Indonesia Fellowships For Women In Science ditujukan untuk mendukung para peneliti wanita muda Indonesia yang terlibat dalam proyek penelitian yang menjanjikan, melalui pemberian fellowship nasional sebesar Rp. 70.000.000,- (enam puluh juta rupiah), bagi 3 orang peneliti wanita muda; 2 di bidang Life Sciences dan 1 di bidang Material Sciences.

 

Untuk mensosialisaikan program For Women in Science 2010,  tahun ini L’Oreal Indonesia dan Komisi Nasional Indonesia untuk UNESCO akan mengadakan roadshow di berbagai universitas dengan jadwal berikut:
