The Udayana University identity “Widya Cakra Prawartana” is a gold circle in blue background. It aimed to convey the spinning off science and technology which based on Pancasila – a 5 principles foundation for Indonesian, namely 1) belief in the one and only God, 2) humanity, 3) the unity of Indonesia, 4) democracy, and 5) social justice.
The identity is designed to reinforce our values: belief in the Almighty God, humanity, unity, democracy, social justice and enlightment.
The logo also symbolises sun rise in the clear blue sky. Impliedly means that it is the desire of Udayana University member to serve as the enlighting power toward bettering the life and people’s welfare.
Our motto Taki-Takining Sewaka Guna Widya, aims to convey that it is an obligation for all man to pursue knowledge and wisdom at the highest level which should be attributed to bettering the life of all human being.
The Hymne was officially performed at the university anniversary on September 29, 1966. It was after the initial performance during the inaguration of Goesti Ngoerah Gde Ngoerah, being a senior doctor in Neurology on May 2, 1966. Music was composed by Drs. I G.B.N. Pandji, and lyrics were written by dr. I B.N. Narendra
